We are delighted to share that the 2nd edition of the Bubeníček International Ballet Gala was an extraordinary success! Held in the stunning Theater Hybernia in the very heart of Prague, the event delivered two unforgettable evenings that left audiences captivated and inspired.
World-class dancers from prestigious European companies including Tokyo City Ballet, Staatsballett Berlin, Hamburg Ballett, Bayerisches Staatsballett, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, and many others came together on one stage, creating an atmosphere of pure artistic brilliance. The gala featured a breathtaking selection of Jiří Bubeníček’s latest choreographies, brought to life by internationally acclaimed performers whose elegance and mastery shone throughout the program.
A particularly heartwarming highlight was the participation of the Bubeníček Ballet Masterclass students, who had the rare and remarkable opportunity to share the stage with these exceptional talents. Their performances added a special spirit of growth, passion, and promise to the evenings.
The gala, held on August 16 and 17, 2025, was a celebration of dance, emotion, and artistry that resonated deeply with all who attended.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this magical event in the heart of Prague — we look forward to seeing you at the next edition!

Do you know how the U Hybernů Palace got its name? It is named after the Irish Franciscans, or "hyberni", invited to Prague by Emperor Ferdinand II. Its history, however, stretches back to the 14th century, when Emperor Charles IV established a monastery at the site. After periods of destruction and transformation, it was converted into a customs office in 1806, adopting its iconic Empire-style façade.
Now a cultural hub, the palace was transformed into a modern theater during its 2005–2006 renovation. With its elegant design and state-of-the-art facilities, it offers audiences unforgettable performances, enhanced by the charm of its historic setting.
